AMERICAN REINFORCEMENT IN THE PAINT

Eos Women's Team strengthens the squad for the 26/27 SBL season with an American powerhouse in the paint. Tionna Lidge, a 193 cm power forward, joins the team after five years at the collegiate level in the US, most recently at the University of North Texas.

Lidge grew up in El Paso, Texas and attended Andress High School before beginning her college career at Southern University, where she spent four seasons developing into a physical, rim-protecting presence in the paint. Her best year there came in 2024/25, when she started all 35 games and put up career highs of 7.1 points and 4.7 rebounds per game, to go with 35 blocks. She posted a double-double against Alcorn State in the SWAC Championship and helped Southern reach the NCAA Tournament after the team knocked off UC San Diego in the First Four.

She capped her college journey with her final and most recent season at North Texas, where she continued to make her mark as an athletic, versatile force underneath the basket. Across 31 games, Lidge averaged 4.9 points and 3.6 rebounds per game and led the team in blocks. She opened her Mean Green career with a season-best 16 points in her debut against Oklahoma Christian.

Throughout her college career, Lidge built a reputation as a dependable, hard working presence who does the less glamorous work well, protecting the rim, cleaning the glass and setting the tone on defense. That combination of length, athleticism and motor is exactly what she brings to Eos this season.
